Job Description:
The school is looking to recruit an outstanding Biology teacher to join our Senior School from September 2026.The successful candidate will teach Cambridge IGCSE Co-ordinated Sciences (Double Award) and separate IGCSE Biology and A Level Biology.
The successful candidate will be passionate about Biology and be committed to achieving the very best for pupils at all levels. They will be able to engage and motivate pupils using effective methods of teaching and differentiation.
The successful applicant will have:
- A good honours degree from a accredated University
- A PGCE or other equivalent qualified teacher status for Science teaching – Biology specialism
- Excellent teamwork skills and be willing to collaborate on planning and resourcing
- The ability to modify learning strategies to target the needs of individual students
- High expectations of pupils’ effort and behaviour, and facilitate this with proven classroom management skills
- Be organised and able to prioritise to meet deadlines
- Be motivated and use initiative to contribute to success of the department
- Be a native like English speaker
